Benjamin Marauder PCP Air Rifle Review
As one of the leading Pre-Charged Pneumatic Air Rifles on the market, the Benjamin Marauder PCP might not be the world’s best objective-oriented air rifle, but when it comes to durability and ruggedness, the pcp marauder has it in the bag.
Benjamin Marauder PCP Impression Points
We took the Marauder PCP out for a little test run and after all of our field tests, it’s safe to say that the Marauder comes in as one of the best pre-charged pneumatic air rifles out there. If you’re looking at investing in one of these air rifles, here are some drawing points that’ll help steer you into the direction of that purchase:
It Has Great Accuracy
The Marauder can actually get a 5/16” group at 30 yards done, and consistently too, albeit it might take a little practice and a fair amount of skill. You can fine tune this PCP to get it up to the exact aspects you need. This also means that you can loosen the trigger if it’s a little too tight for you. What the Marauder gives you is power in your hands so that you can make the best of the rifle, ultimately, enabling you to customize your experience.
It Doesn’t Disappoint in the Power Department
While power isn’t everything when it comes to air rifles, we loved the fact that the Benjamin Marauder Air Gun has a lot of push behind every shot, which means you’re able to shoot greater distances without risking the accuracy. All that power does require a lot of air to fuel the rifle, so after about 20 powerful shots you’ll have to refill, but that isn’t a deal breaker for us.
It Has a Nice Weight
By nice, we’re not implying that it’s the lightest air rifle out there. The Benjamin Marauder PCP is quite heavy actually, and when you add a sling and scope to the equation, things can get pretty heavy real quick. The other thing you have to keep in mind is the fact that you’ll pump a lot, which when combined with the rifle’s weight, can tire you out before you know it. But there’s a reason why we appreciate the weight, and it has everything to do with ruggedness and durability.
- It shoots with power and accuracy
- It performs well even after numerous uses
- It doesn’t require a ton of active maintenance
- It comes with a lot of customizable features
- It boasts a four-chamber silencer
- It doesn’t produce recoil when you’re shooting
- It’s very durable and rugged
- It’s a heavy air rifle
- When you add a scope and sling to the rifle, it becomes even heavier
- If you want a lot of power, you have to pump a lot, which might leave you exhausted
- The rifle uses up a lot of air in a short time
Would We Recommend It?
If you’re looking for a durable and reliable pre-charged pneumatic air rifle, then yes, we would definitely recommend the Benjamin Marauder PCP Air Rifle. If you’re somebody who prefers using a lightweight rifle and you don’t have the stamina to constantly pump to gain power, you might have to look elsewhere.
Benjamin Marauder PCP Final Thoughts
The Marauder has a certain sense of sentiment to it, and we love it for what it is, although we won’t deny that it does have certain aspects that can be described as flaws. At the end of the day, you’re going to have to decide whether or not those flaws are worth the reward that the rifle gives you, and for us, it’s a sealed deal. The Marauder does come with a high physical demand for its users, but in return it offers a lifetime of powerful and accurate shooting, which is one of the most important things an air rifle can ever do.
